An American Tune

I have nothing really to say about, you know, that day, but this was a song that immediately came to mind at the time. This was the song I would have done on that telethon. This performance, on the 14th anniversary of that day, moved me greatly.

As  mentioned previously, this is not an American tune at all, but then again neither is our national anthem, but that's part of the point.

But seriously, you couldn't (and I'm talking to the Late Show editors now), you couldn't find five minutes of lesser material to cut out of this episode to allow this performance to be part of the broadcast? (I could!)
