We have a jazzy first hour, and a freeform second, with various bits of rhythm, with varying authenticities. Completely accidentally, we have both Genesis singers. You never know.
But also, it was a year ago this week that BFR program director, Morning Soup host, namesake of the studio, and guiding spirit of this station died. There's a stealth tribute in that I knowingly picked a few things I know he liked (Don Pullen and George Adams, Bill Frisell, Wayne Shorter). Sadly, there were some techie problems that kept the random folk playlist (which I often refer to as the Ghost of Morning Soup) from playing this morning. We're doing the best we can. But I'm ever grateful to Doug for getting this station off the ground and letting me be a part of it.
