or, Something
awful has happened in Paris
I was on my way to hear John Zorn's Simulacrum at the Institute for Contemporary Art, when I spotted a TV through a window reporting last night's terrorist attacks in Paris. Having an hour or so to spend in one of my least favorite parts of Boston (partly because of it's lack of casual dining), I found myself in a doughnut shop reading news reports, being particularly sickened by the massacre at the music venue, not just because I was on my way to one myself, but because an abundance of live music is one of the pleasures of big city living.
